Topic: After EMERGENCY RESTORE NO MORE FTP

HI,

We had to do an emergency reintstall of our FTP server.
In our setup we enable SFTP access by setting each user shell to /bin/MySecureShell
We used to be able to use normal FTP as well. But now we can only use SFTP. This is a problem.
When we try and use normal FTP, the loggins just fail. How do I correct this problem?

I am using VSFTPD btw...

Re: After EMERGENCY RESTORE NO MORE FTP

Hi,

Maybe "check_shell" is active on your VSFTPD configuration ?

No there is nothing there...
We restored from backup tape. Could the transfer some how not have worked properly and MySecureShell was damaged...?

Re: After EMERGENCY RESTORE NO MORE FTP

Try "sftp-verif" to check installation of MySecureShell.
