Topic: Putty problems !

Hi my english is not that good so pleas apologies !

ok i have installed mysecure shell
made an update and entered the links in source list

so i guess have the newest version !

so its working fine i have whit ftp acess to the home files and im prisoned in the home direktory !

i can login whit win scp and im prisoned in the home direktory !

but if i wanna start putty the window is just gone and if i start command or terminal for executing i get one error   !

Connection has been unexpectedly closed. Server sent command exit status 1.


So my question whats wrong u have any ideas u need any informations configs or some thing else : )

By default MySecureShell refuse shell connection (so it's your "problem" for putty).

But you can give shell access to user. Sample:

#Here myUserSSH can log with putty (shell access)
<User myUserSSH>
   Shell /bin/bash
</User>

Hi thx now it works but whit putty i get in all files so iam not jailed any more smile
But maby you have an anwser of this question aswell : )

Because he need the console alla putty to start the server !

But i dont like to see him the rest of home smile

Yes, shell access is not restricted so it's dangerous for your privacy wink
